🧡 Leo’s Miracle: What our Cat taught us about Healing, Intention and the Power of Love!

In the Summer of 2024 , something happened that changed everything.

While CC was driving on the highway with her beloved cat, Leo, the unimaginable occurred—he accidentally rolled down the car window, was swept out by the wind, flew over 20 feet… and was hit by a car.

—First responders arrived, however refused to take Leo, as policy wouldn’t allow it. They were only willing to take CC to the hospital for emotional shock. But CC , heartbroken yet fierce, insisted they take Leo instead. Her determination and refusal to back down forced them to go against protocol—and they drove Leo to a nearby vet. Andrew (her Father) and her Aunt Steph were called and rushed to the Vet from 45 miles away

In that moment of devastation , and disbelief. somehow—we stayed grounded. And we credit that response to one thing: our yoga practice.

Over the last few years, we’ve taught others how yoga and breathwork create space between a trigger and a reaction. In that terrifying moment, we lived it.
Instead of panicking or shutting down, we stayed present and took action.

But once there, we were told the kindest thing might be to put him down. He wasn’t moving. His body was limp.

And then, CC sang.

Softly, shakily, from the heart.
A sound that came from somewhere deeper than panic—from love, faith, and presence.

Leo’s leg twitched.

It was enough.

We refused euthanasia and rushed Leo to an emergency clinic. On the way, we put our hands over him, breathing with him ,sending energy, whispering life, and staying connected.

Upon arrival at the Emergency clinic they were unsure if Leo would be strong enough to make it through surgery. He was kept overnight. We received a call the next day that he was strong enough for surgery, however there were risks. During the duration of the surgery CC meditated and held him in High light and IMMEDIATELY after coming out of Meditation she received a call that he was out of surgery safely. They were unsure if he would be able to walk again, However just a few hours later Leo was trying to jump off of the table! He was hospitalized for three nights before we were able to take him home, MEOWICLE!

The hours and days that followed were a blur of hope and caregiving. Leo wouldn’t eat for a week. CC was up all night, spoon-feeding him, doing healing touch, and staying by his side.

Our yoga practice had trained us for this—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally.
It gave us:

  • The ability to breathe through chaos

  • The strength to stay grounded in uncertainty

  • The presence to be in the moment that mattered most

And Leo felt it.

💫 Six Months Later...

Leo is fully recovered.
He runs, jumps, cuddles, and eats like a lion (yes, six meals a day!). 🐾
And something else has changed—he’s more open, more affectionate, especially with Andrew. His spirit is softer but stronger. He’s different. And so are we.

Leo’s story isn’t just about a cat surviving an accident—it’s about the power of love, intention, energy, and presence. It’s about what happens when we stay rooted in belief and centered in the now.

A Note on Car Safety for Animals
As pet parents, we often think of our animals as family—and just like any family member, they deserve proper safety measures while traveling. Leo’s accident reminded us how quickly things can change. We now recommend always using a secure pet carrier or safety harness when driving, especially on highways. Car windows should remain locked, as even the most well-behaved animals can become curious or startled by sudden sounds or movement. Taking a few extra precautions can prevent heartbreaking accidents and help ensure your furry friend stays safe and sound on the road.
